CHURCH-CENTERED BELIEVERS

Another Favorite Worship Song…

I have cried many times as I have listened to and read the words of this song! Why? Well, I know three things that maybe you don’t:

1. The power and the meaning of the Name Jesus (e.g., “I Am The Self-Existent One Who Has Become Your Salvation“).
2. How horrible of a person I have been at times.
3. The Love, Patience, and Mercy He has shown to me!

Below is something I’d like you to read before (or after) you listen to the song:

• What A Beautiful Name

The Scriptures tell us that His Name is above all names:

• “For this reason also [because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself], God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,  and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God)…” Philippians 2:9-11

This means, His Name is above your name, my name, the Pope’s name, Muhammad’s name, the Buddha, Confuscius, and every other religious person’s name. It also means that all mankind will bow to Jesus and acknowledge Him as sovereign God.

One final comment. As Believers, we’ve been given:

1. His Name.
2. His Spirit.
3. His Blood.
4. His Word.

This Quadrinity gives us power over all of  life’s difficulties and challenges!
