I have cried many times as I have listened to and read the words from the song: What A Beautiful Name (Click the title to listen to it yourself). Why? Because I know four things:

  1. The power and the meaning of the Name Jesus. When studied, the name means, "I Am The Self-Existent One Who Has Become Your Salvation"!
  2. How horrible of a person I have been at times - yet He's still forgiven me and drawn me nearer to Him!
  3. The Love, Patience, and Mercy He has shown to me over the decades!
  4. The five times I know I should have died — and these are just the ones I remember!

The Scriptures tell us that His Name is above all names: "God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every name, so that at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow… and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." — Philippians 2:9-11

This means His Name is above your name, my name, the Pope's name, Muhammad's name, the Buddha, Confucius, Joseph Smith, Mary Baker Eddy, Charles Taze Russell, and every other name. All mankind will bow to Jesus and acknowledge Him as sovereign God.

Acts 4:12 says: "There is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved."

"This Name saved my soul—and my life—more times than I can count."

As Believers, we've been given: His Name, His Spirit, His Blood, and His Word. This gives us power over all of life's difficulties and challenges!

I pray this song blesses your heart!
