My journey
in christ
welcome
My name is Roy, and I’d like to share my fascinating journey from atheism to Christ. I’d also like to to share with you some observations I’ve made along the way as well as some important info I wish someone had shared with me when I first began this journey!
What’s unique about this website is that I wrote every article with the intent of speaking to the hearts and minds of six (6) types of individuals:
• The Curious Non-Believer (i.e., those who are sincere in their journey but still on the fence).
• The New Believer (i.e., those who’ve met Christ and are in the process of becoming a new creature).
• The Maturing/Church-Centered Believer (i.e., those who’ve just sarted practicing their basics of daily prayer & study).
• The Maturing/Christ-Centered Believer (i.e., those who’ve practiced their basics daily for at least a year).
• The Wayward Believer (i.e., those who’ve walked away from Christ, His Church, His People, etc.).
• The Mature/Sold-Out Believer (i.e., those who’ve “somewhat” mastered their basics & are involved in ministry, etc.)
I’ve also written a Foundations section to cover some of the foundational aspects of one’s journey in Christ.
Now, I’ve done all of this because I’ve seen a lot of Christian websites with tons of really good information, but no structure to them. I mean, should a New Believer first learn “How to read and study the Bible” or “Hermeneutics”? Also, once a person has given their heart to Christ, what comes next? Do they just attend church services and try to live a good life? And, what should a Maturing/Christ-Centered Believer focus on in his or her life? And finally, how does a Wayward Believer find their way back home after years of being away? These are questions I plan to write about.
I hope you’ll read my articles, consider my words, and maybe even have a conversation with me through email!
KNOW THIS…
Knowing Christ personally (i.e., meeting and interacting with Him on a daily basis) and having Him at the center of one’s life is so much more joyful and fulfilling than JUST being religious (i.e., following the rules, regulations, procedures, and protocols of some pastor, priest, or church organization)!
If you have questions or comments, feel free to email me here!
In His Service,
Roy
