I have cried many times as I have listened to and read the words of this song! Why? Well, I know four things that maybe you don't:

1. The power and the meaning of the Name Jesus (e.g., “I Am The Self-Existent One Who Has, or Who Will, Become Your Salvation”).
2. How horrible of a person I have been at times.
3. The Love, Patience, and Mercy He has shown to me!
4. The five times I know I should have died - these are just the ones I can remember!

Below is something I'd like you to read before (or after) you listen to the song:

• What A Beautiful Name

The Scriptures tell us that His Name (i.e., The Name of Jesus) is above all names:

• “For this reason also [because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself], God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God)… ”Philippians 2:9-11

This means, His Name is above your name, my name, the Pope's name, Muhammad's name, the Buddha, Confucius, and every other religious person's name. It also means that all mankind will bow to Jesus and acknowledge Him as sovereign God.

The Scriptures also tell us:

• “Then Peter, [because he was] filled with [and controlled by] the Holy Spirit, said to them, 'Rulers of the people and members of the council (the Sanhedrin), if we are being put on trial [here] today and examined concerning a good deed done to benefit a feeble (helpless) cripple, by what means this man has been restored to health, let it be known and understood by all of you, and by the whole house of Israel, that in the Name and through the power and authority of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom you crucified, [but] Whom God raised from the dead, in Him and by means of Him this man is standing here before you well and sound in body. This [Jesus] is the Stone which was despised and rejected by you, the builders, but which has become the Head of the corner [the Cornerstone]. And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.'” Acts 4:8-12

One final comment! As Believers, we've been given:

1. His Name.
2. His Spirit.
3. His Blood.
4. His Word.

This Quadrinity gives us power over all of life's difficulties and challenges!
