2 Minutes Listen or Read
Over the years, I have listened to thousands of Christian songs. One of the songs I wished was around back when I was a wayward Christ-follower was this song! This song changed my focus – and still has a very powerful impact on my life.
Please watch the words as you listen to them!
All You've Ever WantedIt is my prayer that those of you who have wavered in your trust in your Lord and are doing life by yourself – isolated and on your own – I pray the words of this song will minister to your heart!
NOTE: Several years into my struggle (because of sin and pride as well as some horrible things that happened to me), our Lord gave me my very own personal Jonah experience. While laying on a gurney in a hospital after surgery – with plastic wires sticking out of my head – I prayed for the first time in a very long time and said, “Lord, I don’t trust organized religion or men-of-the-cloth. I know You’ve placed a call upon the life You’ve given to me. So, I’ll tell you what. You put a man-of-God into my life who truly cares about me – not my wallet or my talents – and then I’ll serve you!”
Shortly after that prayer, the first man-of-God was placed into my life (Dale Lowrimore). Not long after, the second man-of-God was placed (Myles McPherson). Later, a third and a fourth man-of-God were placed into my life (Steve Brown and Ray Bentley)! I am thankful for these men who helped me on my journey. And more importantly, I am thankful to our Lord for hearing and answering my prayers!
The words of this song changed my focus from RELIGION to RELATIONSHIP! In other words, the chorus of the song, I can see how it doesn’t matter how many hypocrites there are in the church. It doesn’t matter how messed up certain pastors or priests are. It doesn’t matter how difficult the circumstances are in life. All that really matters is my daily relationship with Him!
